Fight Shop sign

A Sign designed for a new Fight Shop in Santee, California. Offering a wide range of MMA gear and training they wanted a look that represented the spirit of Martial Arts and Jiu Jitsu. Going with an explosive look, lightning and sparks were dded to juice it up, and to allow for a nice contrast when lit at night. Also a bigger font was used to really represent the boldness of the MMA world, plus a little distress added to the letters to add the finishing touch. After all, if you’re going to get in a ring you are sure to emerge a little damaged. Here is a picture of the...

Guardian Angel

Taken from the book of Matthew, this image illustrates a very promising verse in the Bible:  “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” (18:10). Jesus was making it clear that children have a special place in the heart of the Father, and that we shouldn’t despise or cross them at all, for they have a sort-of guardian angel that is always beholding the face of the Father. You can still see the blue lines underneath giving it a sort of glow, but it adds a little life to it rather than just being black and...

A fun and challenging page to work on of Kami jumping through the canopy of a Mech-tank. Kami is the more acrobatic member of the Hand of the Morningstar team, so I wanted this this shot to be very fluid and show off that aspect of him, as well as his unique power of morphing into whatever he touches. So it also posed some challenges, like how do you show him coming through the canopy, but  without breaking it. He had to be simply sliding through it as his body takes on the properties of the windshield itself. So I (Eric) illustrated that by showing Kami’s body half-in half-out of the...

Finishing off the driver. Part of Kami’s ability is not only to be able to morph himself through objects, but anyone he touches as well. So here we see after Kami grabs the driver in the cockpit, he morphs them both right through the Mech-tank to the ground. This was a fun page to work on as well, I think it came out pretty...
