“Merry Christmas!” From Santa and Rudolph… And it’s the perfect time of year, Christmas day is just a few days away! So from Divine Fire Studios, to you and yours, we wish you a wonderful spirit-filled Merry Christmas and a great New Year! This illustration was another design for a clients greeting card business. Rendered in a very soft way to capture that child-like glow, Santa had to look classic as well as Rudolph, everyone’s favorite red-nosed reindeer. A very timeless rendition of a beloved kids character. Everyone has heard of the Tooth Fairy, and how she will sneak your lost tooth right out from under your pillow while you sleep, and leave a special gift in return. What better way of showing off the t-shirts then having original comic characters dawning the symbols for them! Each character has a different symbol of the zodiac, as well as superpowers that represent those signs. We were supplied with the characters sign, and powers and the rest was up to us. Certainly a fun project to be a part of! This is the final color illustration, however, the one for the website would be reversed for layout purposes, so you may notice the zodiac symbols are...

U sing images from other pages by Mike S. Miller on Shakespeare’s,  “A Mid-Summers Night Dream,” mobile comic; Eric did test art for the project creating a nice collage of characters. Recreating the detailed yet simplistic rendering style that Mike is known for, Eric focused on the detail lines that give each element its own texture and feel. The tree for instance and the running maiden’s dress all have certain textures and defining lines that distinguish them from other objects. Representation is the key to any good artists arsenal. Using only lines on a page, are...
