THOR

A favorite hero of many, and certainly in the spotlight recently with his own movie, and not to mention, soon to be a part of the Avengers franchise next summer. One such fan commissioned this piece from Eric around the time of the THOR movie debut. Certainly not an action shot but a shot capturing the hero in all his glory, hammer in hand. Eric did this piece in blue pencil first to get his lines down, and then finished it off with tight pencils. A fun and challenging page to work on of Kami jumping through the canopy of a Mech-tank. Kami is the more acrobatic member of the Hand of the Morningstar team, so I wanted this this shot to be very fluid and show off that aspect of him, as well as his unique power of morphing into whatever he touches. So it also posed some challenges, like how do you show him coming through the canopy, but  without breaking it.
